LEAVENWORTH: EL PUEBLO DE LA ETERNA NAVIDAD

Leavenworth es un pueblecillo estadounidense ubicado al oeste del parque nacional de Wenatchee (Del cual hablaremos más adelante), de arquitectura bávara, en el estado de Washington. A mí personalmente cuando me lo contaron, pensé: “All right, pero seguro que luego no es para tanto”. Entonces, decidí buscar el pueblo en Google, como solemos hacer todos en nuestra ansia continua de información, y encontré fotos como la siguiente:

Leavenworth is a small American village place in the west of the Wenatchee National Park ( of which we are going to tell you in future posts), with a bavarian architecture, in the Washington State. When people told me about it, I thought: "All right, I'm sure that it isn't going to be as much as people said." So I decided to look for it on Google, as everybody use to do looking for new information anxiously, and I found photos like the following one:

¡Mola! ¿Verdad? Sí, parece el pueblecito de los Who en la película de “El Grinch”. Y efectivamente, las casitas que véis al fondo de la imagen son de estilo bávaro, y el pueblo está lleno de ellas. Por lo tanto, decidimos ir a visitarlo (Aunque aviso, lo hicimos en verano).

Desde Seattle son dos horas de trayecto que no se hacen muy largas si llevas buena música y vas bien acompañado. Para que os hagáis una idea de como son las carreteras en Estados Unidos, a continuación os dejo un pequeño time-lapse...sin música, lo sé, pero no quiero que me pulan el vídeo por el copyright.

Cool, isn't it? Yeah! It looks like the Who little village in the film "The Grinch". And indeed, the houses that you can see at the background of the photo are bavarian, and the village is full of them. Thus, we decided to visit it (although, we did it in summer).

From Seattle it takes two hours to arrive there, which are not to much with good music and excellent company. Here you have a short time-lapse video to show you how the American roads are; it doesn't have any music, I know, but I don't want that they kick it off because of the copyright.

Nada más llegar al pueblo, te das cuenta de que, aunque éste no esté lleno de nieve y de luces de navidad, sigue conservando su encanto; ya sea en las calles donde la gente pasea en busca del siguiente detalles que les sorprenda, como dentro de las decenas y decenas de tiendecitas (la mayoría navideñas) que conforman el interior de cada casa.

Just arriving at the village, you can feel that, even it isn't full of snow and Christmas lights, it continues keeping up its charming; either in the streets where people walk looking for the next amazing detail, or inside all the small shops (the most of them related with Christmas) that make up each house.

Y es que el pueblecillo, como he dicho, está lleno de estas tiendas que le encantan a los niños a y los más mayores. Y para llenar barriga, por supuesto, nada mejor que una Brühwurst (salchicha), con una buena cerveza fresquita sentado en una de las terrazas que aquí se encuentran (¿Qué? Esto no sería tan agradable en Navidad, eeeh!, sólo hay que saber buscar lo mejor de cada momento).

And the thing is that the village, as I told you, is full of this kind of shops where both, adults and children, would enjoy a lot. And what about filling our bellys? Of course, the best option is a Brühwurst (sausage) with a very cool beer seating down in one of the terraces that we can find there (And know what, this wouldn't be as nice at Christmas, eeeh?, it's only to look for the best thing of each moment.)

Y para aquel que no le guste la Navidad, ni las tiendas de artículos que tengan que ver con ella, ni los pretzels, bollos o hot dogs (tiene que haber de todo en esta vida), tranquilos, tengo la respuesta a la pregunta de: ¿Para qué me haría yo dos horas hasta allí? Pues tengo una sorpresa más, como siempre. ¿Os hace un baño rodeados de un entorno espectacular?

For those who nor like Christmas, or the shops full of Christmas items, or the pretzels, sweet-buns or hot dogs (you can find all kind of people in your life), take it easy, I have the answer to your question : Why would I do a trip of two hours to arrive there? Well, I have another surprise, as always. Would you like to take a bath surrounding of this amazing environment?

Una de las mejores zonas de baño en las que hemos estado en este verano, ha sido la de Leavenworth, y ni siquiera hay que desviarse. Además, se realizan actividades acuáticas como rafting, bajada en canoa, etc; para los que seáis, como yo, amantes del deporte y de las aventuras. 

This is one of the best bath places in which we have done this summer, and you don´t even have to take the car once you are in  Leavenworth. Also you can do several activities such as rafting, canoeing, etc; if you love sports and adventures as We do.
